Finding the Right Student Housing in Busan: Final Thoughts
Busan is home to a wide range of university dormitories, from the large, amenity-rich facilities at Dongseo University to the intimate island campus experience at KMOU. Whether you are prioritizing cost, location, meal flexibility, or a dedicated international student community, there is an option in Busan that fits your needs.
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you compare your options:
- Budget first. Use the fee tables in this guide to calculate your expected housing cost per semester before making any decisions.
- Check eligibility. Some halls are restricted by gender, student level, or nationality. Always confirm you qualify before getting your heart set on a specific building.
- Contact the university directly. For application deadlines, availability updates, and procedures, reach out to each university’s international affairs office. Details change every semester.
- Plan ahead. Popular options like A-ra Hall at KMOU and single rooms at PNU fill up fast. The earlier you research, the better your chances.
This guide will be updated regularly as universities release new information throughout the year. Bookmark this page and check back before your application period begins.
What Comes Next: The Full Cost of Living in Busan

And beyond housing, your monthly expenses will also include food, transportation, phone bills, and leisure, all of which add up quickly in a new city.
I am currently putting together a comprehensive Cost of Living in Busan for International Students (2026 Guide) that covers everything you need to plan your finances before arriving in Korea. Stay tuned. It will be published soon.
