May 31, 2022 by busanpedia Leave a Comment

1. Eve (original title: 이브)

Eve is a story of how Lee Ra-el (Seo Ye-ji) whose family was destroyed by people in power. She planned and prepared her revenge for 13 years. Now she is ready to execute it with help of Seo Eun-pyeong (Lee Sang-yeob) This Kdrama seems to have all the popular (and repeated) themes of Korean dramas: chaebol, revenge, twisted plots, and, of course, romance. Eve’s premiere date is June 1, 2022.

2. Why Her? (original title: 왜 오수재인가? /wae osoojaeinga?/)

O Soo-jae (Seo Hyun-jin) is a successful lawyer but she has achieved her success with the sacrifice of her life and herself deep inside. When she gets close to what she defines as the top of her world, she slipped to the bottom (well, it’s a law school professor, so not exactly bottom…anyway.) There she meets a law school student, Gong Chan (Hwang In-yeop), who may be able to save her from her situation and the world of greed. Why Her? will premiere on SBS on June 3, 2022.

3. Doctor Lawyer (original title: 닥터 로이어)

MBC, the Korean TV network that airs this Kdrama, defines this show as a medical suspense legal drama. Han I-han (So Ji-seop) was once a top surgeon, but he lost everything because of one surgery. It was a setup to destroy him. Now he becomes a lawyer specializing in medical litigation. On the other side, Geum Seok-yeong (Im Soo-hyang) is a district attorney who lost her family and lover because of the surgery I-han performed. She works to fight against medical crimes. I-han and Seok-yeong fight against people with money and power, who believe they can decide whose lives matter more. Doctor Lawyer airs on MBC on June 3, 2022.

4. Cleaning Up (original title: 클리닝 업)

Cleaning Up is a black comedy based on a British TV series of the same name. Three cleaning crew, Eo Yong-mi (Yum Jung-ah), An In-kyung (Jeon So-min), and Maeng Soo-ja (Kim Jae-hwa), work at a stock brokerage company. As a part of their job, they have a free passage to almost everywhere in the building, and they hear lots of information including inside trading information. They put their heads together and decide to invest using this information. The show starts on JTBC on June 4, 2022.

5. Link: Eat, Love, Kill (original title: 링크: 먹고 사랑하라, 죽이게 /link: meoggo saranghara, joogige/)

This Kdrama is a story about Eun Gye-hoon (Yeo Jin-goo), who suddenly starts sharing all the emotions of No Da-hyun (Moon Ga-young). It is about the mystery of the link of emotions between two people, and, on the other hand, it parallels another story of Eun Gye-hoon’s missing twin sister. This Kdrama will air on tvN, Tving, and Disney+ on June 6, 2022.

7. Jinxed at First (original title: 징크스의 연인 /jinx-ui yeonin/)

This romantic comedy is based on a webtoon. The story goes around one unlucky man and a girl with a supernatural ability. Gong Soo-gwang (Na In-woo) is so unlucky in everything that people avoid him. On the other hand, Lee Seul-bi (Seohyun) has a special ability to see the near future of someone she touches. Their lives start getting more unpredictable once they meet each other.
