Busan X The SKY at LCT

LCT Tower at Haeundae, Busan, South Korea

LCT is the tallest landmark in Busan and the second highest in South Korea after Lotte Tower in Seoul. It consists of three skyscrapers: 101 stories The Landmark Tower (411.6m or 1350 feet) and two 85 stories residential buildings. Busan X the SKY is an observation deck located from the 98th floor to the 100th floor at the Landmark Tower.

Photo zone at Busan X The Sky
Of course, you can’t pass the photo zone.

Once you buy the tickets at the front and go through the photo zone, you will get to ride “Sky Cruise” the elevator, that will take you to Busan X The Sky on the 100th floor. If you expect to see outside while you are going up or down, you may be disappointed. Sky Cruise is surrounded by LED screens that create the environment of the deep ocean. It takes only 58 seconds to arrive at the 100th floor from the ground floor.

Walk over the ‘Shocking Bridge,’ the glass floor on the 100th floor, where you can see Haeundae Beach under your feet. Watch the YouTube video above how calm I was while I was walking over.

Views from Busan X The Sky

Haeundae Beach in Busan, South Korea

The view of the west side would be probably the main point of this observation deck. It spreads out the major destinations in front of you including Haeundae Beach, Dongbaekseom Island, Marine City, Gwangan Bridge, Oryukdo Islands, and more.

Haeundae Dalmaji Hill from Busan X The Sky

On the east side of the tower, you can look over the whole Dalmaji Hill area and a little bit of Cheongsapo port. Since Dalmaji Hill is higher than other parts of Haeundae, it was a rare chance to see the whole area from above.

Throughout the observation deck, original artworks catch your attention as well. The management seems to change the artwork regularly.

Sky 99, the restaurant at Busan X The Sky

SKY 99 is a restaurant located on the 99th floor of Busan X the SKY. It is obviously the highest restaurant in Busan and you can enjoy the wide-open view while you are having a meal.

I would suggest that you make a reservation for a window-side table in advance. Or, if you plan to visit the restaurant with your significant other, they have two designated tables for couples. SKY 99 has specific time periods for meals (like 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. for lunch) so plan ahead when you make a reservation.

Haeundae Beach. Dongbaek Island, and Marine City in South Korea

After you take ‘Sky Cruise’ from the 100th floor to the ground level, Haeundae Beach will be at your feet. Sit on the beach and enjoy the ocean breeze or walk to Dongbaekseom Island, a perfect place to stroll while watching Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Dongbaekseom Island is also home to Nurimaru, a place to host APEC Summit in 2005.

If you are visiting Haeundae Beach with young children, Busan Sea Life Aquarium would be a great place to spend time together. Haeundae Beach area is famous for its various dining options.
